Who is Liberacts ?
Liberacts for Arts is a non-profit organization based in France, aims to create an artistic bridge between East and West by creating, developing and promoting art projects in all forms (dance, theater, installations, paintings, photography, sculpture, etc.) and supporting artists both in Europe and the Middle East and North Africa who are seeking to develop their work on the other side of The Mediterranean.
Our story
The story started when two immigrant artists living in a two different European countries decided to combine their wide range of different experiences together. Fortunately, that completes each other. To create an artistic establishment that creates a bond between the two cultures. They discovered from the first time they met in Paris, how much values and principles they share. It’s not only that both were coming from the land of history, wonder and mystery, the great Egypt. It’s not only that they both fancy the idea of Adam and Steve more than Adam and Eve. It’s not only that both were going with the same refugee experience. But most importantly, they shared the same beliefs. They believed in the power of art to make the world a better place. So they decided to found Liberacts organization for arts in Paris in 2020 to be a bridge between East and West. The association is a continuation of their personal journey which started back in Egypt more than a decade ago and developed a few years later to two different entities a private company called Liberalis for visual arts and a theater troupe called Act Two.
How we do it
Production Program
It’s the performance making department. The journey from an interesting idea to an actual show. This journey is never easy, but we believe in the process as much as the outcome. We are always working with artists that can channel our values in their own artistic ways and create together something beautiful by being open-minded and adventurous.
Training Program
This program is offering a space for artists to experience and grow professionally either as participants (Art workshop / Art Residency)
or as instructors by delivering a workshop to amateurs
that might be the artists of the future.
